Introduction of E10
In September 2021, the UK has seen a change of the standard unleaded petrol grade from E5 to an introduction of E10.The renewable ethanol content within petrol has risen from 5% to 10% (E10), to mitigate climate change and help reduce the UK’s CO2 emissions. This significant change will have an impact on greenhouse gas emissions and will also contribute to the Government’s ambition to reach net-zero by 2050.
